YouTube now has several AI tools for its creators. At the Made on YouTube event in New York, the company’s new features mainly focus on behind-the-scenes work that goes into a video.

One of the new tools is Ask Studio, an AI chatbot that creators can use to ask analytics questions about how their content is performing. The tool picks up data from across a YouTube channel, including long-form videos and Shorts, to offer results.

Creators can ask the tool to summarise comments and synthesise viewer sentiment, and ask for suggestions based on data.

You will soon be able to use Veo 3 Fast to add backgrounds, and special effects to YouTube Shorts. Starting early next year, podcasters will also be able to use Veo to easily generate video clips related to their audio.

Another feature is ‘Title A/B Testing’. An attractive title and thumbnail are essential for attracting an audience. Now you can test and compare up to three titles and thumbnails per video. This expands on YouTube’s popular thumbnail A/B testing feature, which has been used over 15 million times since it launched in 2023.

Auto dubbing with lip sync makes the task more realistic. With upcoming lip sync technology, translated videos will now visually match the speaker’s lips with the newly dubbed language, making your content more accessible and engaging for global audiences. YouTube supports dubbing across 20 different languages, and will begin testing this new lip sync feature in the coming months.

There is going to be likeness detection to let creators easily detect, manage, and request the removal of unauthorised videos made with your facial likeness.

There are also some tools for viewers. Earlier, creators had access to an auto-dubbing feature. Now, it will also sync the YouTuber’s lips to match the dubbed language. Content that uses YouTube’s AI dubbing feature will have a badge underneath the title and in the video description indicating it was auto-dubbed.

Finally, collaborations. You can add up to five collaborators to one video, which will get shown to the audiences of all participating creators. This helps introduce you and your co-creators to a new group of engaged viewers, helping everyone grow their channel. Revenue earned will be attributed to the channel that posts the video.
