A number of AI features have been added to Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series, some of which are updates while others are entirely new. Here’s what you can use.

Audio Eraser: Samsung had earlier introduced this feature to remove background sounds from your video footage. The Galaxy S26 series now allows you to toggle it on while watching a video using an app like Netflix or Instagram. If someone has filmed a YouTube Short in a busy environment and you are having trouble hearing them, for example, Audio Eraser can reduce background noise and boost their voice.

Document Scanner: Document scanners have been around for years, but what Samsung has done differently is employ Galaxy AI. It can remove fingers if you are holding up a document, erase creases, folds and shadows, and minimise distortion so that the document looks clean before you convert it into a PDF.

Screenshots: Galaxy AI can analyse what is actually in your screenshots and organise them into categories, such as boarding passes, social media events or coupons.

Now Nudge: This feature comes with Samsung’s keyboard. You will see information appear on the keyboard based on the context of what you are doing. Take the case of a conversation: if someone asks you to send photos from a trip, you will see a button on the keyboard that, when tapped, takes you to the Gallery app and selects relevant pictures you may want to share.

Now Brief: If you grant it access to your notifications, it can bring personalised information together in one place.

Call Screening: Samsung can now screen calls using its AI assistant, allowing you to decide whether to answer.

Scam Detection: During a phone call, Galaxy AI can analyse whether the caller is attempting to lead you into common scams.

Bixby: Samsung’s AI assistant has become more powerful and can help you troubleshoot issues or adjust settings on your phone. For example, if you say your eyes feel strained, it may suggest changes to make the screen easier on the eyes.
