The new hoichoi series Meyebela — starring Surangana Bandyopadhyay, Aishwarya Sen, Swikriti Majumder, and Dibyasha Das follows four women balancing friendship, ambition, and everyday chaos. Riya, Mimi, Tani, and Zoya share a rented flat in Calcutta. They navigate chaotic mornings, fragile finances, demanding careers, and complicated relationships.

What begins as a familiar rhythm of friendship slowly unravels when a renewal notice forces them to confront the lives they’ve been quietly outgrowing. As individual ambitions, emotional burdens, and unspoken decisions surface, the house that once held them together becomes a space they must learn to let go of, proving that some relationships don’t end; they evolve into memories you carry forward.

“Among hoichoi’s 200+ original titles, Meyebela is a meaningful addition to our library. With this show, we are revisiting the slice-of-life space through a fresh and relatable story of four young women navigating friendships, relationships, ambition, and identity in today’s world. We’re equally happy to partner with Foxtale as the presenting sponsor, a brand that connects strongly with the same audience this story speaks to, making the collaboration a natural fit. At hoichoi, we strongly believe the best brand partnerships are those that blend seamlessly into storytelling while also delivering strong and meaningful visibility for the brand. Building a diverse slate of IPs and storytelling formats remains a key focus for us, and shows like Meyebela help us grow that ecosystem with stories that feel authentic, relevant, and capable of connecting with audiences across platforms,” said Soumya Mukherjee, COO, hoichoi.

“After making shows like Nikhoj, Indu 3, Kaalratri and Thakumar Jhuli, it was refreshing to dive into the slice-of-life genre with Meyebela. The beauty of this story lies in its simplicity and honesty, capturing everyday emotions and relationships in a way that feels intimate, real, and deeply relatable,” said director Ayan Chakraborti.

“Having previously worked on projects like Nishir Daak, Nikosh Chhaya, and Parnashavarir Shaap with hoichoi, it’s always exciting to come back and explore a different space with them. With Meyebela (streaming on hoichoi now), what really drew me in was its exploration of the life of a bunch of young adults trying to find their way in this chaotic world — it’s a story that feels lived-in, and I think a lot of people will see parts of themselves in it,” said Surangana.

“Having previously worked on projects like Bhootteriki and Dilkhush, it’s always exciting to return and explore something new with them. With Meyebela, what stood out to me was how beautifully it captures the small, everyday moments that shape our lives — it’s honest, emotional, and deeply relatable, and I think audiences will truly connect with these characters,” said Aishwarya.
