Bhanupriya Bhooter Hotel has already managed to tickle our curiosity with its intriguing teaser, trailer and songs, promising a perfect cocktail of comedy, chaos and spine-chilling mystery. Adding to the buzz is the film’s recently released quirky dance number, Chandni raate, a song that playfully captures the eccentric spirit of the film while teasing its spooky undertones.
Starring Mimi Chakraborty, Soham Majumdar, Bonny Sengupta, and Swastika Dutta, Bhanupriya Bhooter Hotel is ready to serve the laughs with a side of goosebumps. The song launch itself was nothing short of fun, as the film’s team unveiled the track at Nicco Park, a location that perfectly matches the film’s whimsical and slightly eerie vibe. With the two leading men, Soham Majumdar and Bonny Sengupta, present at the event, the launch felt like a playful carnival-meets-haunted-house celebration.
Set against a delightfully quirky yet spooky backdrop, Chandni raate instantly establishes the film’s tone. The song features the lead cast grooving to a hookstep that’s as addictive as the chorus itself. It’s the kind of choreography that feels simple, playful and destined to trend, mirroring the film’s light-hearted approach to horror. The visuals cleverly balance humour and haunt, making the dance number feel mischievous rather than menacing.

The track is layered with playful beats and elements that heighten its comic-horror appeal. What truly makes the song stand out, however, are its witty lyrics. The male characters cheekily tease their female co-stars, singing about chatting endlessly on WhatsApp and Instagram, only to ask the most relevant modern-day question: “When will we meet in real life?” This tongue-in-cheek commentary on digital romance adds a contemporary, relatable touch. The song crescendos into its catchy chorus, “Dekha hok chandni raate”, which translates to let’s meet under the moonlight. While romantic on the surface, the line takes on an amusingly spooky tone in the film’s context, blending flirtation with an after-dark vibe. "Chandni raate perfectly captures the fun, quirky, and slightly spooky mood of our film. The song is peppy, playful, and meant to be enjoyed with friends," said Soham. "Chandni raate is one of those songs that instantly makes you want to move. The hookstep is simple, fun, and very catchy," added Bonny. Composed by Arnab Dutta, the track benefits from blending mood with melody. The vocals by Arnab Dutta, Shrestha Das, Saptak Bhattacharjee, Bixal and Ankur Jyoti add layers of energy and character to the song. With lyrics penned by Arnab Dutta and Zinia Sen, Chandni raate remains playful, catchy and a peppy dance number.
