Hey Mom, what do you actually do at the office? The question can now easily be turned into a storybook for bedtime reading to your little one. The latest Gemini app feature allows you to create “personalised, illustrated storybooks complete with read-aloud narration”.

To begin, describe any story you can imagine or allow Gemini “draw inspiration from your own photos and files”. A text preview appears. The process takes a few seconds while Gemini loads a dual-column interface where the storybook appears on the right. You can use the chat on the left to customise the story and specify art styles: Pixel, claymation, crochet, colouring books, and more.

At the end, you will get a 10-page book with AI-generated art and audio. The user is given a shareable link to download the book or to print.

With time, AI-powered outcomes in the illustration department have improved. But the chatbot may not share your artistic vision when you upload an image that you have drawn.
