Apple has rolled out an update to its Invites app — the event planning tool that requires an iCloud+ subscription to create invitations — adding several new features for managing and sharing events.

The headline addition is support for Image Playground themes. Hosts can now generate original artwork to match the style and mood of their event directly within the app, bringing a layer of personalisation that was previously absent. Alongside this, a new option allows hosts to download or share an image of their invite card, making it considerably easier to post invitations across social media.

The update also introduces a more capable dashboard. A new All Events view brings upcoming and past events into a single, unified interface — a practical improvement for anyone juggling multiple occasions. Music integration has been enhanced as well, with the Apple Music Shared Playlist feature now offering personalised playlist suggestions based on listening habits, adding a thoughtful touch to the event experience.

Guest management has also seen welcome attention. Anyone who has organised an event will know the quiet frustration of receiving RSVPs by text or phone call and then scrambling to keep the guest list accurate. The updated app now lets hosts adjust the list directly to reflect those offline responses, and also allows them to update the number of additional guests each attendee is bringing — keeping the headcount precise without the usual guesswork.

Rounding out the update is a new option to specify a time zone for an event, alongside the usual bug fixes and performance improvements.
