Practice breaks for Bagan, EB

Mohun Bagan and East Bengal have decided to call off practice sessions as the All India Football Federation (AIFF) suspended tournaments at all levels, including the I-League, till March 31 because of the conoravirus pandemic. The suspension will come into effect from Sunday.

The I-League champions will resume their training from March 23 while East Bengal coach Mario Rivera has given players off till Wednesday.

The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has also decided to put on hold all its club matches till March 31. However, 13 ongoing second division matches and one school game will continue till completion.

The ongoing ITF men’s Futures tennis meet at the South Club has been cancelled with immediate effect. But the senior state basketball championship, which started on Saturday, will continue till March 20. The Calcutta Hockey League, which is on full swing, will also continue.

The Bengal Open Golf Championship, which is being played at the Tollygunge Club, will finish on Sunday.

Udayan Mane continued to be on course to win a record fourth straight title.
