The Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel (ADDP) of National Anti-Doping Agency (Nada) has banned Haryana’s Amit Dahiya for four years for sending a proxy to provide urine sample during the National Javelin Throw Open Championships last year.

Dahiya had finished third in the event in Sonepat on April 16, 2019 and then sent another person to the collection room to provide the sample.

The sample collectors realised that the person who had come to provide the urine sample was not Dahiya. Dahiya was handed a provisional suspension on July 16. The ADDP has now passed an order to suspend him for four years from the date of his provisional suspension.
