North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council chief executive member Debolal Gorlosa on Friday flagged off three new ambulances in the presence of the council’s executive member for family and health welfare department Samuel Changsan.

The programme was ceremoniously conducted at Haflong civil hospital in the presence of doctors, nurses, staff and general public. The vehicles were received from the department of welfare for plain tribes and backward classes, Assam. Gorlosa said, “These three ambulances will be allocated to Langting, Maibang and one at the district headquarters of Haflong. Later more will be added to the fleet.”
