Iman Chakraborty's Darjeeling posts are so tempting!
Hills calling? Take a cue from the singer's photo dump

Darjeeling has made singer Iman Chakraborty want to settle down in the hills. In an Instagram post on Wednesday, the singer said, “Bhabchi ekhanei theke jai… (Thinking of just settling down here…) She posted a vacation dump that shows the beauty of the misty mountains and scenic views. Does it make you want to run to the hills too? Here are some places in Darjeeling district you can visit this year:
- Takdah: Situated in Darjeeling district at an altitude of 5,100ft in Rangli Rangliot, it was a military cantonment during British colonial rule. It has beautiful pine forests, farm home stays, tea gardens, old bungalows and much more
- Tabakoshi: Tabakoshi is part of the famed Gopaldhara tea estate. Close to Mirik, Tabakoshi is on the banks of the Rangbhang river. Visit Sumendu lake and Bokar monastery
- Sittong: It is called the orange basket of Darjeeling and located in Kurseong. It is an ideal place for ecstatic views of the Kangchenjunga and bird watching
- Chatakpur: A great place to visit if you are a beginner to trekking. One can visit of the oldest wildlife park here — the Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary
- Bijanbari: A small town in Darjeeling district, Bijanbari is dotted with mountain streams, tea gardens and forests
