Long, lazy winter brunches and watching the sun set as you sip on your cocktail are the only decent ways of ushering in the chill and there’s no better place to do so than at Skai, the chill spot on the sixth-level of Quest mall. The new additions to their menu comprise a milieu of flavours from across the globe, living up to their reputation of serving modern world cuisine. Snapshots.
More about it
What: Skai
Where: Sixth floor, Quest mall
When: 12.30pm to 10.30pm
Meal for two: Rs1,500-plus
Sweet Potato Chaat: This is a pint-sized version of the popular chaat with bean sprouts chaat served on a bed of tamarind gel and a roasted sweet potato disc.
Galangal Chicken Skewers with Peanut Espuma: Juicy galangal marinated chicken skewers served with peanut Espuma, Thai style.
Lemon Blueberry Slice: A classic angel sponge cake in the flavours of lemon and blueberry, with the added texture and flavour of a lemon curd and pistachio dust.
Burnt Garlic Burrata Saag: Served with Malabar parathas on the side, this twist to the usual Palak Paneer is done by adding burnt garlic, served with a generous portion of burrata.
Burrata Tomato Flatbread: With the feel of pizza but on flatbread instead, burrata with pomodoro sauce is topped with cherry tomatoes, arugula and a drizzle of pesto.
Shrimp Tacos with Avocado and Wasabi Mayo: Prawns flavoured with lemon and chilli, served in taco shells, topped with some wasabi mayo. The punch of the wasabi is just right as it melts into the mayo and prawn.
Bean Chilli Mexican Bowl: Served with Habanero paneer on a bed of Mexican rice, salsa and sour cream, this is a wholesome meal-in-a-bowl.
Speculoos Cheesecake: With a good, old Biscoff drizzle, this dessert is a hearty classic with a lighter take on the usual flavours of a cheesecake.
Dark Side of the Moon: Apart from the tastes of whisky, Jager and vermouth, order this for the drama it will add to your table. For reference, check out the picture!
Negroni: Some good old negroni with gin, Campari and sweet vermouth.
SKAI Full of Stars: For those who like their drinks to be fragrant, try this one with star anise, vodka, lime, pomegranate, pineapple and soda.
