The offering to the deities includes 60kg rice, 100kgs of mixed vegetables and 115 to 120 kinds of sweets. Even soft drinks, ‘phuchka’, chocolates and whatever devotees eat in day-to-day life are offered

The family head, Subrata Bhattacharya, said: ‘Annakut Puja is a way of life for us which we cannot give up. Wherever we are, my wife and I ensure that we continue with our family tradition with utmost dedication and faith’
