The Sai Nath University, Ranchi recently organized a webinar on how to keep physically and mentally fit during Covid-19 pandemic.
Jharkhand governor Draupadi Murmu inaugurated the event, with Prof. (Dr.) S. P. Agarwal, vice chancellor of the university.
She advised the audience to practice yoga and exercise regularly and routinely, like the students do in PT class.
“Doing so will energize them for other daily activities and keep them healthy and fit physically and mentally,” said Murmu.
She also advised them to listen to music and interact with others, particularly on issues like current research and inventions.
Murmu further impressed upon the importance of meditation and pranayama, saying that the practices should be added to their daily routine as they contribute to the maintenance of good health, and the removal of negative thoughts.
She also spoke to the participants about raising their immunity, as a Covid preventive measure, by drinking warm water and advised them to install the Arogya Setu app on their mobile phones.
Students should focus on their studies regularly, she said.
She also addressed the audience about the fear surrounding Covid-19, as the virus is spreading fast all over the country.
Sai Nath University has also started online classes well in advance to ascertain there is no academic loss for the students.
