The body of a Covid-19 victim from Nepal was buried on the Indian side of the border at Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh. Following a meeting with Nepal officers, the district administration has cops from the neighbouring country had made a mistake and that the issue had been resolved.

Sheilendra Kumar Singh, the Lakhimpur Kheri DM, said on Sunday: “We held a meeting with Nepali officers at the Gauriphanta border in Lakhimpur Kheri district. They said they had committed a mistake and wouldn’t repeat such a thing.”
