Kerala: Ammonia leak at Munambam ice plant sends 11 to hospital

At least 11 people were hospitalised in Kerala's Munambam after suffering breathing difficulties following an ammonia leak at an ice plant here on Friday, police said.

The leak, which occurred in the afternoon, was brought under control promptly by fire department personnel, they said.

Residents living near the plant reported breathing difficulties and were shifted to a primary health centre for treatment.

Their condition improved after receiving medical attention, police added.
