Benefits Of The Four Times JEE Main Exam In A Year.

In 2020, due to the COVID situation in the country, NTA decided to take the JEE exam four times a year. i.e February, March, April, and May.

  1. The main benefit from the four-time exam is that students will not lose a year if she/he doesn’t perform well in the exam. So candidates have in total four chances to appear for the exam. But they must note that the best among the four will be considered for the evaluation.
  2. Candidates can have the selection preference about the exam session at their own convenience.
  3. By appearing in the 1st session, candidates can get an idea about the kinds of questions asked in the exam as per the subject, and accordingly, they can work upon the next session. This gives time for improvement.
  4. Pressure will be lessened by the fact that the exam is four times a year.
  5. Candidates can appear for JEE Main maximum times to improve their scores.

How To Calculate The JEE Main Score?

Candidates must be aware of some important terms in order to understand the calculative measure of the JEE Main 2022

NTA score = P

Total Number of Students =N

Percentage of students below or equal to your marks = P

For example: if you have secured an 80 percentile in JEE Main, which means that 80% of the candidates who appeared for JEE Main are below or at the same level as you are

Percentage of students above your marks = 100 - P

Number of students above your marks = ((100 – P)/100)*N

Hence the formula to know the estimated rank from the percentile is ((100 – P)/100)*N + 1
