Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel paid homage to the legendary tribal leader Birsa Munda on his death anniversary, which is to be observed on June 9. Recognising Munda's tireless struggle for the empowerment of tribals, the Chief Minister commended him as a trailblazer of tribal consciousness.
Highlighting the significance of Munda's contribution, the Chief Minister emphasised his role in mobilising and uniting tribals, leading them in a movement to assert their rights over Jal-Jungle-Zameen (water, forest, and land).
The courage and sacrifice demonstrated by Munda continue to inspire millions of individuals even today. The Chief Minister further stressed that Birsa Munda taught people the power of collective will, which surpasses the might of arms. His unwavering bravery serves as an inspiration for all.
CM Baghel emphasised that true homage to Birsa Munda lies in ensuring justice and empowerment for tribal communities.
