Two photos of Vijay Deverakonda’s rugged look from his upcoming film VD 12 were leaked online on Monday, prompting a statement from the makers requesting fans to refrain from sharing such leaks.
Vijay, who is currently shooting with Gowtam Tinnanuri for VD 12 in Sri Lanka, appears on a motorcycle on a beach in one of the leaked photos. The second picture captures him attending a village festival. In both the images, the actor sports a rugged appearance with cropped hair and a beard.
In a statement issued on X on Tuesday, Production banner Sithara Entertainments, led by Naga Vamsi, wrote, “Dear Rowdy fans, we share your excitement and enthusiasm! Team #VD12 is working very hard to bring you an unforgettable theatrical experience. Till date, we have completed 60% of the shoot and are currently filming in Sri Lanka."
The producers assured fans that they would reveal Deverakonda’s look from the film at a more appropriate time. “For the past six months, we have been keeping details under wraps. Preserving the first look for a red hot official unveiling. We kindly ask you to refrain from sharing any leaks and wait for the official announcement. Coming very soon,” the statement further said.
Vijay Deverakonda’s last film as a lead was Parasuram’s The Family Star which also starred Mrunal Thakur. The actor played a cameo as Arjun in Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD.
