Varun Dhawan-Janhvi Kapoor’s Bawaal release pushed back to October from April

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the movie also features Parth Siddhpura, Arnob Khan Akib and Aariz Saiyed in key roles

Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s latest movie Bawaal, directed by National Award-winning director Nitesh Tiwari, will release on October 6 instead of April 7, declared the film’s banner, Nadiadwala Grandson, in a Tweet on Wednesday morning.

Both Varun and Janhvi shared the news on their Instagram stories. “Ab toh October tak mannat rakhna hi padega, no more cheato (Now we have to keep wishing till October, no more cheating)”, wrote Janhvi.

Produced by Earthsky Pictures and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Bawaal follows a small-town guy who becomes enamoured with the town's most stunning woman and becomes hell-bent to marry her in order to improve his social position. Parth Siddhpura, Arnob Khan Akib and Aariz Saiyed also feature in the movie in pivotal roles.

Varun’s last big-screen appearance was in Bhediya alongside Kriti Sanon, while Janhvi Kapoor last appeared in Mili and Good Luck Jerry last year.
