Actor-politician Kanchan Mullick and actress Sreemoyee Chattoraj had a traditional Bengali wedding on March 2 in the presence of family, friends and colleagues, following their registry marriage on February 14. The couple shared pictures from their wedding ceremonies on Instagram. Here’s a look.
Kanchan and Sreemoyee were all smiles as they exchanged rings at their reception ceremony. Sreemoyee looked pretty in a pink-and-ivory embellished lehenga.
The couple were dressed in traditional Bengali attire for their wedding. After the malabodol, the groom planted a kiss on the bride’s cheek.
The sindoordaan ceremony was held with family members rallying around.
Sreemoyee, who rose to fame after playing the character of Radharani in the TV series Krishnakoli, struck a pose with Kanchan during their bhaat-kapor ritual. Kanchan was recently seen on screen in Shiboprosad Mukherjee-Nandita Roy’s political thriller Raktabeej.
The couple, caught in a happy moment, at their gaye holud ceremony as relatives dabbed turmeric on them.
At a pre-wedding aiburobhat feast, Kanchan and Sreemoyee were treated to a huge platter of traditional Bengali dishes.
