Universal Pictures have dropped the official trailer of their upcoming animated film Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken. Directed by Kirk DeMicco and Faryn Pearl for a script written by Pam Brady, Brian C. Brown and Elliott DiGuiseppi, it features an ensemble voice cast including Lana Condor, Toni Collette, Annie Murphy, Sam Richardson, Liza Koshy, Will Forte, Colman Domingo, Jaboukie Young-White and Jane Fonda.

The two-minute-25-second-long trailer follows a 16-year-old Ruby Gillman (Condor) who is desperate to fit in at Oceanside High. When she goes to the beach for the first time, Ruby discovers that she is a direct descendant of the warrior Kraken queens and is destined to inherit the throne from her commanding grandmother, the Warrior Queen of the Seven Seas (Fonda).

School Of Lies

Disney+Hotstar has unveiled the official trailer of its upcoming web series School Of Lies. Created by Avinash Arun and written by Ishani Banerjee, the series features Nimrat Kaur, Aamir Bashir, Geetika Vidya Ohlyan, Sonali Kulkarni and Jitendra Joshi.

The one-minute-35-second-long trailer begins with Bashir’s character informing that a kid named Shakti Salgaonkar has been absent from his classes and nobody in his school has seen him lately. Shakti’s classmates, his seniors, the school’s staff and even his guardian go on a lying spree. Nimrat plays a school counsellor who can get the school kids to open up about Shakti’s disappearance.

School of Lies will be streaming on Disney+Hotstar from June 2.

The Flash

DC on Wednesday shared the trailer for its upcoming DCU film The Flash. The film is directed by Andy Muschietti from a screenplay by Christina Hodson and stars Ezra Miller as the titular character alongside Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdú, Kiersey Clemons, Antje Traue and Michael Keaton.

The two-minute-21-second-long trailer shows Barry Allen a.k.a The Flash in two different dimensions as he tries to save his mom and other people. However, his mission goes wrong and invites several threats. General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no superheroes to turn to. Now Barry has to coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian.

The Flash is slated to arrive in cinemas on June 16.

Skull Island

Netflix has shared the official teaser of its upcoming animated series Skull Island, inspired by the classic King Kong story. This series is a continuation of the Monsterverse which has so far been confined to the format of films.

The 57-second-long teaser shows a group of individuals stuck on the island. They witness the destruction of a helicopter by a strange creature, indicating that the island is inhabited by never-seen-before animals.

Skull Island will be streaming on Netflix from June 22.
