Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa’s first theatrical production Raftaar is set to release in cinemas on October 16.
Directed by Aditya Nimbalkar, the film is set against the backdrop of ambition, dreams and the pursuit of success. According to a press release, the project will explore the emotional and personal cost of chasing larger-than-life aspirations.
Patralekhaa and Rao shared the announcement on Friday through posts on their respective Instagram handles.
“Ambition brought them this far… but will Success take them somewhere they never imagined,” read the caption.
“They say building a dream takes time, but living it takes even more hustle! 'RAFTAAR' is not just a film, it’s our first step into the theatrical world, a labour of belief, grit and countless dreams. When something is this personal and special, it deserves the time to grow into something truly memorable. That's why we are now arriving, in cinemas, on 16 October for the extended Dussehra weekend.

The film stars Rao and is produced under the banner of Kampa Films.
