The new Star Jalsha show, Chini, is transcending traditional narratives. Delving into the world of mystery, Chini packs an intriguing tale centred around the life of Chini, a simple girl living in a village, and her position in the opulent Chowdhury mansion.
Upon her first visit to the Chowdhury mansion, Chini, the daughter of the family driver, meets Drone, a promising doctor and heir to the Chowdhury legacy. She suddenly gets an inexplicable vision of a bride screaming in a locked burning car, once she touches the feet of Hemangini Devi, the head of the Chouwdhury family. She also learns that she was not supposed to enter the mansion. She wonders why she saw such a traumatic vision of the burning bride.
The show tells a story of love, intertwining Chini with the countless mysteries concealed within the Chowdhury mansion. Chini (portrayed by Indrani Bhattacharya) with her extrasensory perception, adds a layer of complexity to the storyline. Opposite her, Somraj Maity brings to life the charismatic Drone, with a nuanced portrayal.
Blurring the lines between reality and mystery, the show seamlessly weaves elements of thriller and love against the majestic backdrop of the Chowdhury mansion. Chini is produced by Missing Screw Productions, who has produced many popular shows like Sandhyatara, Panchami, Aay Tobe Shohochori on Star Jalsha. With its mix of suspense, drama, and mysterious elements, Chini offers audiences a unique television experience. Chini airs on Star Jalsha at 10.30pm.
