Filmmaker-actor Farhan Akhtar has started scouting for locations for his next directorial venture Jee Le Zaraa, a road-trip movie starring Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra and Alia Bhatt together for the first time.
Farhan posted a picture from Rajasthan on his Instagram in which he can be seen standing on a sand dune, looking at the horizon. “Searching for gold #locationscout #jeelezaraa #rajasthan,” he wrote alongside the photo.
Alia, who will soon start shooting for the film, commented on Farhan’s post. “Can't wait,” she wrote.
Ritesh Sidhwani, who co-founded Excel Entertainment along with Farhan, said, "And he is back on the director's chair."
Written by Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar and Reema Kagti, Jee Le Zaraa was announced in 2021. The premise of the film is loosely based on Zoya Akhtar’s 2011 cult classic coming-of-age drama Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Don 2: The King is Back (2011) was the last film that Farhan directed.
