Anindya Chattopadhyay’s coming-of-age drama Open Tee Bioscope turned eight on January 16. Riddhi Sen, who headlined this nostalgic tale of love and friendship, celebrated the occasion by sharing then-and-now photos of the movie’s child actors and even suggested a title for the sequel — Bondhu Bylane.
The actor played Fowara (left), a rebel who moves in with his mother in a north Kolkata neighbourhood and gains new experiences. Riddhi’s latest onscreen outing was in Indraadip Dasgupta’s Bismillah (2022)
Surangana Bandyopadhyay’s Titir (left) is Fowara’s love interest from a well-to-do family. The actress earned accolades recently for her performance in Ballabhpurer Roopkotha (2022).
Rwitobroto Mukherjee essayed the role of Fowara’s streetsmart friend Kochua (left), who is the fun guy in the gang. He will be seen playing Topshe in Arindam Sil’s upcoming web series Gangtoke Gondogol.
Dhee Majumder plays Charan (left), the leader of the para gang who was initially at loggerheads with Fowara but becomes best friends with him over time. Dhee was last seen in Ranjan Ghosh’s Rong Beronger Korhi (2017).
Rajarshi Nag as Gopa (left) is another member of Fowara’s gang. He recently featured in Srimanta Senguptta's Abar Bochhor Koori Pore (2022).
