In the last few weeks, our clothes and style have seen quite a few changes. It could have begun with Pjs being the new stars, and moved to the realisation that the pyjamas can be a long haul.
So let’s think of staying in them as well as possible.
We are looking at comfort. We need to do chores around the house. So it is see you later to most fancy clothes. Add to that the weather is getting warmer.
Here are a few ways to stay cool and stay stylish even at home, and stay as upbeat as possible. Clothes can help.
- Colours: The brighter the better. Colours are an instant mood-lifter. They have a direct impact on our brain, make us more energetic and are also pleasing to the eye. Take a look at the closet and bring out the bright comfies.
- Soft fabrics: Season for some much needed air. Working in the kitchen gets hot, and the softer the fabric the better one feels. Hello to all the tshirts, ganjees, singlets and mulmul kurtas and dresses.
- Comfort fit: Too loose or too tight makes things uncomfortable. Going with clothes that are mid-way not only looks good, but also makes one feel good.
- Hair: While doing chores or otherwise, it is great to have a hairband or a bandana to keep the hair in place. It is hygienic as it is stylish.
- Super Hero / Heroine Tshirts: They are fun, and uplifting. It helps to have one on, for some extra super powers.
- Palazzos: Works if the Pjs have over-timed. Palazzos are free flowing, airy and weather friendly.
- Shorts: Summer and shorts are a force to reckon with. Go for it.
As much as comfort is necessary, too much of it can result in an overall dullness of spirit. So dress up a few days of the week. A few ideas when you could do this :
- Video calls for work, with friends and family.
- The online special date.
- For the Webinars.
- For a dinner at home with family over the weekend, so that it feels like a weekend.
- To play dress-up with the kids at home.
- Just for yourself, to get some spunk back.
I will wrap this one by saying wear what makes you happy and comfortable. We need to be relaxed now more than ever before.
Stay home,,stay safe, stay stylish.
