Calcutta: Trainer Aiden O'Brien’s colt, Bolshoi Ballet, is a 14/10 firm favourite in the 12-horse field lined up for Saturday’s Epsom Derby, christened as the Cazoo Derby (Group 1) (British Champions Series) over a mile and half course. The Ballydoyal colt, is a back-to-back winner of 2000m race, including the 2,000m Derby Trial (Leopardstown) in an impressive manner. Jockey R.L. Moore partners the Galileo - Alta Anna son.
The 2,400m Cazoo Oaks, on Friday, also witnessed jockey Frankie Dettori guiding Obrien’s 5/1 shot, Snowfall to a bloodless victory. The 50-year-old Dettori had also partnered Mother Earth to victory in the 1,000 Guineas.
