The alumni meet, which was inaugurated by professors, saw 80 alumni members and 120 present students. “Reunions are a nostalgia trip, where memories of a lifetime are made. We all have moved in different directions yet we feel the same bonding whenever we meet up,” said Sahana Bhattacharya from the batch of 2020.

The alumni members recollected memories on campus. “Sampriti 2014 was the first time a reunion was organised in our college. We feel grateful that our juniors have been able to carry on this legacy and we can return to college every single year,” said Sauptik Datta from the batch of 2015.

Former and current students interacted and shared anecdotes. “Meeting friends after a two-year gap was emotional. The current students did a marvellous job. With the warm welcome, the cultural performances, the food, and the overall hospitality, everything was bang on,” said Ritankar Ray from the batch of 2012.

For the last two years that feeling of togetherness was missing. This year we decided to restart Sampriti and we knew what are the hurdles coming our way but we made this possible,” said Ritwika Chandra, a fourth-year student and a member of the organising team.
