The good ol’ kurta can do wonders this season

Ready-to-wear label Kushni is re-imagining Indian heritage craftsmanship for global shoppers. The label’s Modern Mystique line features hand-embroidered Zardozi Kasab and Dabka pieces created by craft communities. The Saba Kurta is a straight cut kurta in a rich aubergine shade featuring intricate Kasab zari work, glass beads and sequins. The dressy bottoms are designed like wide-legged Farshi pants and they can also be recycled with shorter or billowy kurtas. The three-piece set also features a yellow striped handloom chanderi dupatta with a zari scalloped border. The bright yellow number breaks the monotony of the jewel-toned palette and adds interesting dimensions to the ensemble.

Both the kurta and the trousers are made with pure chanderi cotton silk and 100% pure cotton muslin lining which means they’re quite light and wearable. Pair it with some chic, antique gold jewellery or a single statement piece.
