Then, 20-year-old Trudy Ederle defied all odds and fought against patriarchy to complete the swim from France to England. Young Woman and the Sea brings Trudy’s perseverance to life, highlighting her struggles and determination to prove everyone, including her father, wrong. Based on the inspiring tale of a young woman who dared to dream in a man’s world, Trudy Ederle is essayed by Daisy Ridley with Joachim Ronning directing this inspirational film.
