Netflix’s next thriller is rather Hitchcockian

Netflix’s next thriller has some of our favourite stars! Charlie McDowell’s Windfall just dropped its trailer. The film stars McDowell’s wife and Emily in Paris star Lily Collins, Oscar-nominee Jesse Plemons and How I Met Your Mother star, Jason Segel. The film follows a rich, young couple who realise their idyllic, Spanish-style vacation home is being robbed by a stranger.

The trailer suggests the stranger in the house (played by Segel) shares a secret connection with at least one of them, however, it’s not clear who. The tagline of the film reads, ‘Every kidnap is a compromise.’ This has us guessing the film will address a hostage situation. The 2:11-minute trailer promises drama, suspense and intrigue. The official synopsis reads, “A man breaks into a tech billionaire's empty vacation home, but things go sideways when the arrogant mogul and his wife arrive for a last-minute getaway.”
