Vidya Balan to play an unconventional detective in her next

‘Neeyat’ reunites Balan with her ‘Shakuntala Devi’ director, Anu Menon

Abundantia Entertainment has given us the first look of Vidya Balan as a detective in the poster of Anu Menon’s Neeyat. 

Touted as a classic murder mystery, Balan will play an unconventional sleuth in the film, which also stars Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Neeraj Kabi, Shahana Goswami and Prajakta Koli. The film also reunites Balan with Menon, who directed Shakuntala Devi, where the actress played the titular mathematician. 

The film’s trailer is expected to be released today, and it will hit theatres on July 7.
