This winter, venture into the unknown with ‘Aranyak’ on Netflix

There’s something afoot in the forest, and Kolkata boy Parambrata is on the case

Mysticism, crime, and a backdrop of forest-covered hills — Parambrata Chatterjee starrer Aranyak promises to be an intriguing watch for Netflix audiences this December. With a stellar cast that includes powerhouse Ashutosh Rana and Raveena Tandon in her OTT debut role, the Hindi web series hooked audiences with its new teaser on 9 November. It releases worldwide on Netflix on 10 December and is described as a “tale of murder, mystery and more than what meets the eye.” 

Directed by Vinay Waikul, written by Charudutt Acharya, and produced by Roy Kapur Films and Ramesh Sippy Entertainment, it has Rohan Sippy as the showrunner. Aranyak’s whodunit plot involves Raveena and Parambrata playing police officers investigating a crime in a small hill town. The series also stars Indraneil Sengupta, Meghna Malik, and Zakir Hussain. With winter setting in, Aranyak is a strong contender for a weekend binge with a hot chocolate in tow. We’re looking forward to the “Ek jungle aur uske anek rahasaye,” as the first sneak peek says.
