‘Snowpiercer’ Season 3 trailer

The sci-fi drama teases conflict and a new green land

Snowpiercer — the apocalyptic series set aboard a never-stopping train — has a trailer for its third season. The second season of the show saw a revolution led by the oppressed classes to dismantle the power of Mr Wilford, the Snowpiercer (Sean Bean). The new trailer picks up where Season 2 left off. Layton (Daveed Diggs) and Ruth (Alison Wright), who were banished to Big Alice’s compost car, are seen commanding the pirate train that they had conceived in the season 2 finale. Meanwhile, Wilford tries his best to consolidate his power from his base. The trailer also introduces a new character, Asha (Archie Panjabi), and teases a place called New Eden, which is a rare patch of green left on the frozen planet.

Though the show is inspired by the French graphic novel Le Transperceneige by Jacques Lob and Jean-Marc Rochette, the screenplay was adapted from Bong Joon-Ho’s 2013 class-war action film Snowpiercer. 

Snowpiercer’s third season will drop on January 3.
