Pike and Spock are back in a new 'Star Trek' spin-off

Paramount+ just dropped a full trailer for the hotly-anticipated Star Trek spin-off, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds which stars Anson Mount as Enterprise’s third captain Captain Christopher Pike, Rebecca Romijn as Captain Pike’s first officer Una (or Number One) and Ethan Peck as Spock

The series is a spinoff of the second season of Star Trek: Discovery and is set a few years prior to the events of the original William Shatner-led Star Trek. The show will reportedly follow the early adventures of Pike who is Captain Kirk’s predecessor. This is the fourth Star Trek series on Paramount+ besides Discovery, Star Trek: Picard, Star Trek: Prodigy and the animated comedy series Star Trek: Lower Decks.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is set to premiere on May 5
