J-Lo’s new romance has quite a script

Jennifer Lopez may have the biggest rom-com of the year up her sleeve. The star who’s making headlines with her real-life love story with Ben Affleck will star as a pop star in her upcoming musical romance Marry Me, which follows an unlikely romance between two people from different worlds.

Lopez plays singer Kat Valdez, who’s engaged to another music sensation, Bastian (Maluma). As their hit single Marry Me, climbs the charts, they plan to marry before their fans in a live ceremony. But Kat learns about Bastian’s infidelity seconds before their wedding, and instead of marrying Bastian, she picks divorced math teacher Charlie Gilbert (Owen Wilson) from the crowd to exchange vows! Needless to say, the film features several original numbers by J-Lo. A new featurette by Universal Pictures goes behind the scenes of the film to give the fans a look into the story.
