Kolkata Thunderbolts take on Bengaluru Torpedoes

Two in-form teams will battle it out on Super Saturday in the PVL

Two wins out of two mean that the Kolkata Thunderbolts, partnered by The Telegraph My Kolkata, will be aiming for a hat-trick when they enter the court against the Bengaluru Torpedoes less than 24 hours after securing victory against the Chennai Blitz in the Prime Volleyball League (PVL)

The Torpedoes cannot be taken lightly as they have rallied back in their last two encounters to register impressive wins, with captain and setter Ranjit Singh on a hot streak and proving particularly effective in coordination with the attacking duo of Pankaj Sharma and G.S. Varun. For the Thunderbolts, it is all about not trying to mend what is not broken. Their service showed much-needed improvement against the Blitz and Sunny Joseph will be hoping that the likes of Rahul Ramesh K can take the pressure off Ashwal Rai and Vinit Kumar against the Torpedoes, which will go a long way in clearing the Thunderbolts's path to the semi-finals.
