Ananya Panday’s OTT debut gets a Karan Johar twist

Prime Video just shared a hilarious promo of the upcoming series, ‘Call Me Bae

It’s no secret that Karan Johar loves launching star kids. In the past few years, the director has owned it, and one of the biggest exponents from his films is Ananya Panday, who made her debut with Student of the Year 2. Prime Video India recently shared a fun promo for Ananya’s second launch, again engineered by KJo. The difference is that this will be her OTT debut! The tongue-in-cheek clip shows how Ananya is used to playing a rich, privileged kid on screen, and is seeking something more challenging. In comes Karan, offering her the role of a south Delhi girl, who gets everything taken from her, and arrives in the mean city of Mumbai to build it back again from scratch. Titled Call Me Bae, this new series will begin streaming on September 6, and promises to showcase Ananya in a completely new avatar. We’re eagerly waiting!
