Swastika to play a tough-cop faced with a critical case in ‘Nikhoj’

The announcement clip of the Hoichoi series promises a gripping thriller

Swastika Mukherjee has an intense new identity as the Deputy Commissioner of Police, as revealed by the announcement clip of Nikhoj, a Hoichoi original series directed by Ayan Chakraborti. 

The clip shows Mukherjee as a worried mother, whose daughter goes missing. The central conflict plays on her duality as a cop who struggles to keep aside her personal fears while solving the most important case of her life. The announcement minces no words in establishing just how the stakes are for Swastika. While the announcement reveals little except that the project also stars Tota Roy Choudhury, we know that the show has a release date of August 11. This one promises to be a rocky thriller.
