Ep. 3 of ‘Seen’ with Nick Barili
An engaging interview-focused series by the Academy

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has launched a new interview series titled Seen, where Argentinean-American journalist writer Nick Barili sits down with some of the film industry’s most famous artists with Latin-American and Spanish roots. The first season of the show lined up Academy members John Leguizamo, Eva Longoria and Edward James Olmos as they share their personal and creative journey and also address the issue of representation.
Each episode is roughly 30-minute long and is terrifically engaging. In episode 3, Barili and Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria go for a tour of California State University, Northridge, from which the actor received a master’s degree in Chicano Studies in 2013. The episode starts on a hilarious note as Longoria jokingly threatens to shut the interview down after Barili reveals he doesn’t drink coffee.
