Light up your weekend with ‘Savi’, starring Divya Khossla and Anil Kapoor

Everyone loves to see a woman summon unparalleled courage from within, when the entire world has written her off. A similar story is the central hook of Savi, a fast-paced thriller that hit cinemas this Friday. Divya Khossla plays the role of Savi, a housewife who lives in Liverpool with her husband, Nakul (played by Harshvardhan Rane) and son, Aditya. When Nakul is arrested by the police on charges of murder, the onus falls upon Savi to execute an impossible jailbreak in order to get her husband back home. The plan becomes even murkier when Savi hires an ex-con, Joydeep (played by Anil Kapoor) to execute her plan. The film deserves a watch for its riveting performances, especially by Khossla and Kapoor. Furthermore, with Abhinay Deo as the director and Mahesh Bhatt as the producer, the film captures a unique finesse that both these experienced filmmakers are known for. So if you’re looking to fill your Sunday with an immersive story, head to your nearest cinema hall for a show of Savi!
