Donald Glover’s Atlanta is returning with its much-anticipated third season, which will follow music manager Earn Marks (Glover) and rapper Paper Boi (Brian Tyree Henry), along with friends Darius (LaKeith Stanfield) and Van (Zazie Beetz) on their European tour.

The last season of the series aired in 2018 and earned widespread acclaim along with 14 Emmy nominations. Glover, who is also known by his stage name Childish Gambino, has been busy with other noteworthy projects. In 2019, he wrote and produced his island musical film Guava Island and also voiced Simba in Disney’s The Lion King remake. In 2020 he was busy producing his fourth studio album, 3.15.20. The COVID-19 complications also added to the delay in Atlanta’s production. However, it was recently reported that Glover and his team have developed the script for the fourth season of the show, which will be shot in London, Paris, and Amsterdam.

“They’re actually in production right now on season four in Atlanta. And all of the scripts for season four have been written. I absolutely adore those scripts for both seasons,” said John Landgraff, president of FX Entertainment, where the show will premier in March 2022.
