After a few misses, Netflix India has finally struck gold with its newest offering. Aranyak, directed by Vinay Waikul can get a bit gratuitous with violence but it successfully keeps viewers at the edge of their seats. The whodunit has many layers but the search for a mythical beast anchors many of its storylines.

The Raveena Tandon-Parambrata Chatterjee starrer has enough twists and turns to keep viewers binging through its eight-episode season, with the central duo putting forth powerful performances. The production department manages to encapsulates the suffocation of a small town, without letting the stakes feel too low. Dipanjan Guha deserves a special mention for his versatile score that creates and releases tension at will.

If you are looking for an engaging thriller and don’t mind looking past a few loose ends, Aranyak can be a great addition to your watchlist.
