The ‘Padatik’ actress is juggling biography and comedy with equal ease

Monami Ghosh is gearing up for her next project — Fanibabu Jug Jug Jio, where she will be romancing popular actor Subhasish Mukherjee. The film is directed by Raju Majumder and is produced by Aadika Productions. Raju Majumder has also written the script, screenplay and dialogues of the film. “I have never read such an entertaining,wonderful and rib tickling script before… My Next..” Monami wrote on Instagram, announcing the film. 

The actress’s upcoming release is Srijit Mukherji’s Padatik — a biographical take on Mrinal Sen’s life. Monami has played Geeta Sen, the character of Mrinal Sen’s wife in the film, while Chanchal Chowdhury has slipped into the shoes of the legendary filmmaker onscreen.
