India's double gold triumph at Chess Olympiad — a new era begins!
Celebrations continue as Indian chess shines brighter than ever, securing gold in both men’s and women’s categories

In a historic outcome at the 45th Chess Olympiad in Budapest, Hungary, India clinched gold in both the men’s and women’s categories. Along with the team golds, India secured four individual gold medals, thanks to D. Gukesh, who won his second consecutive Olympiad gold, Arjun Erigaisi, Divya Deshmukh and Vantika Agarwal.
India’s dominance shattered several records, finishing a remarkable four points ahead of their closest competitors.
My Kolkata extends its heartfelt congratulations to all those who represented India in both the men’s and women’s Chess Olympiad. Now, it’s clear that Indian chess is not just in good hands but also has a brilliant future ahead, with the immense talent and dedication that each player has displayed. After their well-earned victories, the team celebrated in style with the Tunak Tunak Dance. Check out the celebrations and congratulate the champions of the Chess Olympiad.
