‘Who’s Afraid of Z? Not Me!’ by Lubaina Bandukwala

A delightfully charming take on the English alphabet

Published 24.02.22, 07:25 AM

Published by HarperCollins India, Lubaina Bandukwala’s new release has the most unusual central character – the last letter of the English alphabet, i.e. ‘Z’! As if that premise was not fun enough, what makes it even more interesting is that Z has been hearing strange rumours about himself: ones that seem to indicate that he is not important enough in the alphabet and can be easily dismissed. But if you thought those rumours can drag our hero down, think again! Over the course of the book, Z sets out on a mission to prove that despite being the last letter in the alphabet, he is as indispensable as the rest.

The illustrations by Allen Shaw further bring alive the characters in the book, making it both engaging and immersive for young readers.
