The ‘Driver’s License’ singer drops another sensational music video

Olivia Rodrigo has released Traitor, the fourth single from her debut studio album, Sour. The singer-songwriter also dropped an arcade-themed music video on October 21 to pair with the song. The lyrics to the song portray a coming-of-age narrative and the 3:58 minute video features stylised visuals of neon backgrounds, slot machines, night-time swims, and a school playground. Traitor syncs up perfectly with Rodrigo’s signature sound that melds indie-pop with understated rock. Rodrigo—often referred to as the biggest breakout star of the year—wrote the number in a shocking 20-minute span while filming High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. 

“In hindsight, I think it made me write a better song because I wasn’t in my head thinking too much about it,” shared Rodrigo.

The Traitor music video has racked up 8.2 million views in just five days!
