T.L. Mazumdar’s solo piano album 'Vignette'

The inter-disciplinary artiste reflects on life in isolation

Indo-German multi-instrumentalist and music producer T.L. Mazumdar, also known by his moniker EveryNowHere, has released his debut solo piano record, Vignette. On his website, Mazumdar shared how the pandemic-induced isolation affected his work and his creative process. “Two weeks after I made it back to my teaching gig in Germany on one of the last flights from London, the world went silent. In a manner I’d always dreamt would be the ideal canvas to play the piano the way I’ve always felt is the most appropriate,” Mazumdar shared. 

The seven-track album had been recorded by Mazumdar and has been mastered by Japanese sound designer Yosi Horikawa. The serene and cascading track George is available on YouTube, while the remaining tracks are available on Bandcamp. Mazumdar also hosts the podcast Tapasya Loading where the musician invites fellow musicians and artistes to discuss music, art and culture.
