“You give me everything, you give me everything I need...” Somlata Acharyya Chowdhury has taken her fans by surprise with her recent upload - the cover of Lauren Daigle’s soulful number Everything, from her 2018 album Look Up Child. The singer-songwriter designed the music arrangement herself – set against the backdrop of Kolkata in near-sepia tone, the video takes listeners on a nostalgic ride. The video was uploaded on Somlata’s YouTube channel last week and has garnered close to 7K views. “No, this is NOT a ‘Pujo Release’...this is just my way of showing gratitude and feeling grateful to the life I have and the love I get from each and every one of you,” the performer shared. 

Whether a ‘Pujo Release’ or not, Somlata’s masterful piano and fantastic vocals have been a reprieve amid a trying pandemic and rain-shadowed Pujas.
