Radiohead dropped another track from its side project, The Smile
Is The Smile the next big thing in alt-rock?

Radiohead frontman Thom Yoke and the band’s lead guitarist Jonny Greenwood have released a new track from their new side project, The Smile, titled Skrting on the Surface. The alt-rock band’s new track follows two critically acclaimed singles this year, The Smoke and You Will Never Work in Television Again, which also featured Son of Kemet’s John Skinner.
The song is accompanied by a gorgeous music video, which was shot in 16mm monochrome by BAFTA-winning director Mark Jenkin, in an old Cornish tin mine, The Rosevale Mine. Skirting on the Surface was originally written by Radiohead and has been played a few times during The King of Limbs tour in 2012. The Smile first played it at last year’s Glastonbury live stream event, where the band made its debut.
